Giving Patients the Bright Smile They Deserve

Don’t put up with discoloured teeth when in-office whitening is safe, quick and inexpensive at South Shore Dental. Tooth whitening can be used to correct tooth discoloration caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only choice. Due to the low cost of whitening treatments, however, it is always worth a solid try. While over-the-counter whitening agents are available for purchase at drug stores and pharmacies, they can actually cause harm to your gums and teeth. Using the latest in whitening technology, we can offer a safe method for creating a beautiful and brilliant smile.

The Teeth Whitening Process

An impression is taken to make a specialized “mouthguard” or “stent” to hold the whitening agent against the teeth. In only a day or two your custom splints will be ready for you to pick up. We provide you with a special whitening agent that you put into the clear splints. With only a few hours of wear per day, our special whitening agent bubbles stains right out of your enamel in a very short time without altering tooth structure or existing dental work in any way. When your teeth reach the desired brightness, only occasional treatment is needed to maintain your new smile. The material is used each night for about three to four hours each day for a week or two, and at the end of this time, significant whitening will occur.

Call us to schedule your in-office teeth whitening and get ready to have a beautiful smile.
